100 Crowns Shares Revolutionary Cyphers For Pioneer Hip-Hop Event ‘The Coronation’

Since they stepped onto the hip-hop scene way back in the early 2000s, A-Q and Loose Kaynon have been teeming with energy, ready to prove to the world that hip-hop culture isn’t dead in Nigeria. In many ways over the past couple of years, the duo have been able to prove this especially with their positions within Chocolate City with other talented MCs like Blaqbonez.

However, this month they go the extra mile with their budding hip-hop live show, The Coronation. In preparation for the next installment of the show, they have released a 2-part project that targets the aim of The Coronation: a cypher for regular artistes and battle rappers which they envision themselves as.

Released under their label imprint, 100 Crowns, and powered by Chocolate City, both cyphers are a condensed version of how The Coronation is going to roll out, come 15th November.

On the Beats By Jay-produced Artiste Cypher, multitalented artiste, Barelyanyhook, takes the lead and delivers a brittle punchline-rife verse that serves as an adequate starter to the rest on the lineup that includes budding MCs like Moss, whose serene flow overpowers his witty bars, Tentik and others.

The Battle Cypher like the name suggests features rappers delivering punchlines immersed in over-confidence and certainty of their strengths. Jay Pachino is the pacesetter while rappers like Hitman, Dabu tha Gemini among others follow suit.

The Coronation is a revolutionary event and judging from the quality of bars dropped in the two cyphers, it’s purpose of reinforcing hip-hop culture will be fast fulfilled.
