5 reasons you should attend EDF December 2016

Posted on

Our friends at Eat Drink Lagos are back again and this time with their third Eat Drink Festival (EDF). Their first edition was held on December 20th 2015 in Parkview, Lagos while the second came on July 17th 2016 and was hosted at Fantasy Land in Ikoyi. This Christmas, they are back bigger and better and the third Festival shall hold at Eko Atlantic on December 27th 2016.

Not one of the Eat Drink Festivals has been underwhelming till date and so we’ve decided to give you 5 reasons why you shouldn’t miss it for anything.

1. EDF is that one place you’re most likely to meet your Twitter crush this Christmas.

EDF is that one place you’re likely to see that girl or guy you’d love to have as your MCM or WCW but can’t because all you do is follow them on Twitter. So, if its Bollylomo or Tmtisclutch or Jollz or whoever it is you’re crushing on, they’ll most probably be there so EDF is definitely worth your time. Also, you get to see them in real life and now you can actually decide if they’re what you’re looking for as opposed to judging on pictures cos we know how some of y’all be deceiving with them pictures.

2. Remember that person you’ve not seen since primary school? They’re gonna be at EDF!

Do you remember that guy you were best friends with in primary school but your friendship went off track when you went to secondary school outside Lagos? If you remember him, good, if you don’t, you’re very forgetful. Well he is going to be at EDF, let’s bet on it. Even people you don’t remember going to primary school with will be there. For this reason, you should definitely be there. You get a chance to catch up with old “friends.”

3. This EDF is big enough to contain all of us.

The location for the first festival was quite intimate, let’s be honest but then you can’t blame your organizers, they didn’t know all of you were “Eat Like No Tomorrows.” The second festival saw them step up but if we’re being completely honest there was still an element of too many people in too small a space. This time, if there are too many people then I guess next time we can just shut down the whole of Lagos and turn the whole state to EDF then.

4. Your favorite celebrity just might be there cos they’re hungry like you.

At the first EDF, I was too gassed when I saw Naeto C cos that guy moves like a ghost sometimes uno. The second on I saw Bollylomo and one other actor whose name I don’t remember from Shuga and some other celebrities I don’t remember. Just cos I don’t remember their names doesn’t mean they might not be your favorite celebrity uno. So pull up to EDF if you’re tryna see that celebrity you love in a way nobody else does.

5. You’re on a hunt for good food and possible date spots.

EDF is too vital for this reason. It’s that place you get to sample good food and cos most people lack creativity with their dates in Nigeria, they tend to go food. As such, EDF holds extra relevance cos you can find that place you can take your MCM or WCW that you guys will remember for good food and bad customer service just cos bad customer service is ingrained in the code of most Nigerian service providers!
