On the 18th of December, the 5th edition of the annual Ball Off football tournament will hold at the Meadow Hall Astro Turf, Elegushi Beach Road, by the 4th roundabout, Lagos-Epe Express Way, Lekki from 10am-6pm. The competition will be made up of 8 teams- 4 of which will consist of semi pros and 4 social/peer teams. Each team will consist of 7 players, a goalkeeper and 3 substitutes. There will also be a female match up.
Ball Off 2016 is the brainchild of the Ball Off company established in 2011. Initially designed to organize football tournaments in London then Lagos, the company also seeks to organize youth football camps and provide consultancy services. Deji Elebute (Founder) says “We are very excited to be delivering Ball Off once again. In recent years we have been able to deliver tournaments that bring people of different backgrounds together and also been able to help some players achieve their dreams. This is what Ball Off is all about.”
