Audio tapes implicating Senator Dino Melaye in a corruption scheme which saw him walk unscathed from an election tribunal case presented by his opponent, Smart Adeyemi back in 2015.
In the audio tapes which have been released by Sahara Reporters, Dino is in conversation with Justice Akon Ikpeme the judge who dismissed the case. In the conversation, the judge suggests that anything Dino is providing should be in USD while the Senator also played a part in helping a female related to the judge secure a job at the Cross Rivers State Ministry of Health.
The Civil Society Network Against Corruption has urged the EFCC to investigate the matter while Dino has taken to social media to debunk the recording tagging it as a smear campaign considering the bad blood between the two entities after Dino was called out by Sahara repeatedly earlier in the year on his education and credentials.
