Satellite images of Baga town have been released by Amnesty International who previously claimed this was the deadliest ever Boko Haram atack.
The images show about 600 destroyed structures in Baga and 3100 in Doron Baga this year.
The Nigerian government put the death toll at 150 however there is a belief that there is an underestimation of the government. The images being shown however disclose that numerous structures were damaged and also give the impression that way more lives than claimed have been lost.
Why have the accurate numbers been held back by the Nigerian authorities?
