Bella Alubo Wears Her Heart On Her Sleeves On Genre-Bending Project ‘Summer’s Over’

Since reBella, an attempt to bridge a gap between her past and present, Bella Alubo has been hard at work, creating and curating content for her fifth project, Summer’s Over. Months after the release of the sleepy EP, she comes through, wearing her heart on her sleeve on what she describes as a transmutation of her experiences so far, on 10 stunning interpretations of her feelings.

Joined by budding industry giants like herself including Poe, Ezi Emela, Ajebutter22 and a few made men, Bella takes us on a journey of ‘love, fear, desire, rejection, pain, unforgiveness, excitement, hope, gratitude for my ability to feel’ starting with the Ezi Emela-assisted Don’t Trust Geminis and ending with refreshing remixes to the earlier released Agbani.

Apart from her need to draw us into our world and give us reasons to feel vibrant, strong and beautiful, Bella on the genre-defying Summer’s Over is an evolved force waiting to be experienced by a world that has only seen one side of her.
