BOMB BLAST IN KANO, FIVE CONFIRMED DEAD

On Saturday night, hours after the Local Government Elections, a bomb rocked Kano state.

The incident, which occurred at Gold Coast / Middle Road junction, also destroyed vehicles that were passing when the suicide bomber’s car exploded.

Five people including the suicide bomber were confirmed dead.

The police have commenced an investigation, having arrested two people linked to the bombing.

Meanwhile, calm has returned to the Sabon Gari area of the city where the blast occurred.

On Monday morning, residents were seen going about their businesses and children being taken to school in most parts of the city. 

The Sabon Gari market, located near the blast area was also open and busy on Monday morning.

Adjoining markets at Galadima Road, Singer Market at Ado Bayero Road, and the France Road Market have all opened for business.
