Trying to lose weight?

Trying to fit in a particular Dress?

Want the quickest/easiest way out?

Then you’re in the wrong place. Custodian Fitness is for those trying live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. We have no quick fixes or special diets. What we will provide you with is information from top Fitness experts and qualified nutritionists and some real life stories to keep your morale up.

Before we get started here are few things you’ll need to kick start this new lifestyle:

An attitude check

Do you love yourself? Do you respect your body? If these two are not in check, living a healthy lifestyle will be impossible.  Most of us have the same insecurities. We want to be seen as attractive, we just have different ways of managing this desire. Many of us resort to yo-yo dieting, eating disorders or just not caring because we are scared of reality/failing.

What we fail to realize is the human body is a machine, its warranty could be 30/40/50 years or lifetime but it will only give you back as much value as you put into it.

Gym Membership [£19 – £90 monthly]

Investing in a gym membership is advisable because the financial commitment is likely to keep you dedicated. It also prevents you from being able to use  rain, cold, heat, snow, hail or humidity as excuse.  You can also join classes, which are a nice, structured and social way to stay fit.

Solid pair of trainers

Working out in plimsoles, fashion trainers or Toms will not do. It is dangerous and silly- part of living a healthy lifestyle is loving and respecting your body.  Your feet take a lot of impact needs during exercise and so they need to be well supported

Fitted/Comfortable gym outfit [at least two]

When you look the part you tend to feel the part. Again the investment here could make you more serious. Also wearing fitted clothing makes you more accountable: you’ll hold your abs in firm and stiffen up your glutes and in general keep things tighter, which will make the exercises more effective.

Water bottle

Stay Hydrated!! Respect your body,  it needs water.

Sturdy gloves [for weight lifting]

These are good because they protect your palms from blisters when you lift weights. They can look unattractive but its only momentary- I  take mine off at intervals and only use them when I left really heavy weights.  [If you don’t want to pay for gloves, liquid chalk is a good alternative for protecting your palms too]
