Dangote Leaps to 65th Position on World’s Richest List

Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has significantly leaped to the 65th position on the list of the world’s richest persons all the way from the 103rd position.

According to Bloomberg Billionaire Index’s compilation of the top 500 richest persons in the world. Dangote’s leap has been alluded to some profit of about $6B which he reportedly amassed in just one day on 26th February 2019. Right now, Dangote’s net worth has surged to an impressive $16.6B.


Other than Dangote, three other Africans made the list. They are Nicky Oppenheimer ($7.05B) who owns a mining company.

Johann Rupert ($6.84B), who controls the world’s largest luxury watchmaker, Cie. Natie Kirsh ($6.09B) who controls Kirsh Group, a closely held conglomerate with a 75 percent stake in food supply business Jetro Holdings.

The list also includes Jeff Bezos at the number one spot with $136B and Barry Lam at the 500th position with $3.86B.


Dangote has however been the richest man in Africa for the eighth year running.
