EX GOVERNOR OF OSUN STATE, ISIAKA ADELEKE DEFECTS TO APC

First civilian Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke has formally declared for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Isiaka Adeleke, formally a PDP member eyeing the PDP gubernatorial ticket for the August 9 election in the state.

Adeleke withdrew interest after he alleged that Senator Iyiola Omisore & Minister of State for Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan beat him up at the venue of the PDP primaries.

He stated that he could not stay in the PDP and work for Omisore, who he described as a thug.

“They are a party breeding thugs,” he said. “How can a whole minister of the Federal Republic be boxing, I have nothing against PDP, but I don’t see myself working for a criminal. I can’t support a violent person to go to the Government House.”

“I was a governor under the Social Democratic Party (PDP) which was a progressive party, I was fully involved in the struggle for June I2.” said Adeleke.

Welcoming Adeleke into APC were the Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of Ekiti State, John Kayode Fayemi & Interim Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande.
