Ezi Emela digs out some Lost Files and we’re loving it

UK based soul and pop fusion driver, Ezi Emela has been present in the music scene for some years now, flitting in and out with sensual groove laden jams. While she has traversed genres, she primarily initiated her sound in the Pop genre and with all of her wandering, the sensuality of her sound has remained constant.

A long five months after impressing us all with the soulful but movement inspiring Think To Lose You, she graces our soundwaves this week by channeling nostalgia and the forces of her angelic voice in a 3-track EP she calls Lost Files; an allusion of the weathered tracks she claims to have saved in her drafts for years.

The term ‘age like wine fine’ is an apt summary of this body of work; a delivery of mellow, sensational monologues crooned as a result of weighty emotions revolving around her relationships with her muses. As usual, she works the 808s, snares, shaky keys, mellow flutes among others playing out in the background by letting her vocals run with her emotions and the entire ambience is alluring.

Ezi Emela never leaves any room for judgment with each release and Lost Files is proof of this.
