Federal government declares 21st and 22nd of August Eid-el-Kabir public holidays

The federal government has declared Tuesday, August 21, and Wednesday, August 22 as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, announced this on Thursday in Abuja.

Dambazau also asked citizens to use the period to embrace the virtues of love and sacrifice needed for the unity of the country, while he wished Nigerians a happy celebration.

The minister further urged Nigerians both home and diaspora to continue to support President Buhari’s determination to bring about peace and unity in the country.
