Fireboy DML Desires Freedom On New Oriental Leaning Single ‘Eli’

Fireboy DML’s post debut album world is a dimension characterized by a different sound bordering on a dynamic fusion of Afropop and other undistinguishable sounds and emboldened by the heavy success of Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps. This dimension played host to his first post-album single, New York City Girl and on his latest, Eli, he continues down the same path.

Produced by Pheelz and reminiscent of his focus on the characteristics of his muse on New York City Girl, Eli is a flute-y ode to a woman who has him bound in a chaotic relationship with her wiles and despite his desire for freedom, his relaxed demeanor, evidenced in his methodic delivery proves otherwise.

As with the video for, Fireboy explores oriental art on Eli, wielding a Flute-y instrument as his weapon of choice to battle his muse and captivate his listeners.
