Fireboy DML’s Debut Album ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps’ Is An Acoustic Rain Of Emotions

Fireboy is the product of a media overhaul performed by Olamide in 2018 and unlike his contemporaries in the same class, the talented singer has surpassed our expectations and challenged the norms with sturdy, industry-relevant singles all released within the space of a year. Although he started out his career as a singer side Instrumentalist who banked on the popularity of platforms like Soundcloud, the rising star today is a force that combines vocal strength, realistic and believable live performances, hit-making abilities and a refined sound in an industry characterized by biases and aversion to experimentation. It’s been more than a year since he released Jealous and more than 9 months since the world discovered the gem of a track and for a curtain-closer, Fireboy shares his debut album, Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps.

Considering his presence in the industry is not all too sturdy, a debut album released barely months after his debut is an unlikely move but for Fireboy’s caliber, a deliberate play at an entrance into the big leagues.

An 11-track acoustic rain of emotions rising from his journey and experiences, Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps is a reflection of everything Fireboy represents, a vocal powerhouse who wears his heart on his sleeves as evidenced in the album’s very first track, Need You, a self-assured rising star fronted in King, a doting, fun-loving muse on Vibrations and more amazing features he reveals solely and atop a colorful sweep of mood-inducing instrumentals.

Not that we expected less from someone who stole our attention with a mid-tempo love song but Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps is a stellar and grand entry into the industry.
