In March 2017, reports that Krispy Kreme intended on making an entrance into the Nigerian market began circulating. They were backed up by official statements from Krispy Kreme which announced that the doughnut company had entered a development agreement with Quality Foods Africa and suggested that in the next 5 years, there will be at least 20 shops in Nigeria.
Almost a year later, the debut store is yet to come to fruition but it looks like it’s in the works and should be rolled out in the near future. A recently launched KrispyKremeNG Twitter page has sent the Nigerian community into anticipation of the store which shall initially launch in Lagos.
Nothing’s complete without Nigerians cracking a couple of jokes. Below are some of the best reactions to the reasserted news that our favourite doughnut store is coming to town.

Don’t let these bougie Nigerians dissuade you from making original glazed puff puff or chocolate chip puff puff with zobo infused coffee for your Nigerian market. I am here to be a taste tester @krispykremeng
