Ladipoe And Buju Revisit Simpler Times In Cheery Video For ‘Feeling’

Ladipoe is switching things up and changing the outdated narrative that rappers from Nigeria can’t dominate the mainstream. With singles like Rap Messiah, Jaiye, Know You, Based On Kpa and the just-released scalar hit, Feeling featuring Buju, Ladipoe’s “Leader of the Revival” tag is slowly, but surely credence. The scene is vibrant and burgeoning and he knows the tide is already changing and with Feeling, which just got treated to a video, he inches much closer to mainstream domination, but in his own nonconforming and passion paved way.

Directed by Kewa Oni and Seun Opabisi, the video is reflective of his intention to let loose and ‘feel’, capturing an uplifting, carefree essence as we follow younger versions of Poe and Buju in much simpler times.

On the special part of the video for him, Ladipoe said,

“My favorite thing about the video is reflecting on how we were once those kids, so oblivious and happy to everything going on around us. I would always watch my favorite music videos and imagine what it would be like if it was me.”
