Larry Gaaga calls on Davido for Doe

As a result of the ease with which music is now released through online channels, establishing oneself as an artist is no easy task. One of the more guaranteed ways of getting radio rotation and people listening is featuring established acts on your music. For an insider like Larry Gaaga who inspired 2 Baba’s resurgent single, Gaga Shuffle, that has been the path he has explored with an ultimately forgettable introduction alongside Wande Coal and Base One tagged Sho Ja. His follow-up, Doe, however is one that will garner him the attention he’s been searching for for a number of reasons. Firstly, its timing is much better than Sho Ja which came in December when there’s a ridiculous amount of music being released. Additionally, he replaces Wande Coal with Davido who’s without any thought the most in-form Nigerian artist at the moment.

The record which centres around their relations with a lover is produced by Fresh VDM and dominantly features Davido vocals. At the crux, the message of the song is one of a love effort who allows her always makes her decisions with money in mind.

Not your best Davido effort, but we’re still all going to listen anyway.
