Simbi Ajikawo popularly known as Little Simz or the Nigerian-British rapper adored by Kendrick Lamar is picking off where she left off with her brand new single, “Offence” and boy did she snap!
Since the release of her first solo project, Stillness In Wonderland, the pint-sized powerhouse has taken the hip-hop world by storm with a stamp of approval from rap icons like Lauryn Hill, Andre 3000, Snoop Dogg and J. Cole.
From its opening moments, “Offence” lurches forward with aggressive momentum: a drum break punches through the whole track, bound so tight it sounds like it’s shaking with adrenaline.
The boom and snarl of Little Simz’s voice make it obvious she’s at the top of the food chain with lines like “I’m Picasso with the pen”, the beat thumping her chest, she sounds bigger and stronger than ever on it.
