The opening line in NdaniTV’s new web series Phases goes thus: “You know, I’m not a musician, but I can play your G-String.” The line is from the series’ playboy and sweet talker, Gbugbemi (Asa’ah Samuel). A bit cliche but it worked. The lady replies, “I will like to hear it.” Then we meet Sukanmi (Tosin Ibitoye), our ‘Super V’, using the same line… and getting a wildly different result—a slap.
Phases seems to be a romantic comedy about the Mr Nice Guy and the Ladies Guy. In this episode, while everyone is vibing to the good music at Sunkami’s birthday party, his friends Gbugbemi and Tunde decide to help him get laid. The series is directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by Abimbola Craig.
