East London born and bred hip-hop artist Not3s who deliberately avoided an academic career seems to be reaping the fruits of his labour. Consistency, being the name of the game seems to also be paying off as he rose from online obscurity to being signed by Relentless Records in a relatively short time. Drawing inspiration from his local underground grime scene and also Nigerian heritage, he dropped a 9-track album in November of 2017, and has hands on 3 major releases this year: Hooper, Fine Line and Sit Back Down ft Maleek Berry.

The latter, racking up a huge amount of online views, has further progressed Not3s as a household Nigerian name, possibly because of the feature of the gift that keeps on giving – Maleek Berry.

Recently, the video for Sit Back Down was released, and it is kinda worth the hype. As directed by Kirx, the video features rousing hues and officious movements that accompany the lyrics. As far as the narrative prowess of the video is concerned, not a lot is achieved, just a very fast-paced, very colorful, very nubile 3 minutes worth of motion.
