Desire by Odunsi The Engine featuring Tay Iwar and Funbi

Since the jump of the new year, Odunsi The Engine has featured on a number of records including Santi’s Jungle Fever which also featured Genio and Science with Zamir. He has also teamed up with Nonso Amadi for a well received EP titled, War. On his first record of the year, Odunsi recruited Tay and Funbi for a soothing track produced by Higo and titled Desire.

On the track, Odunsi opens by professing his love and stating that she’s his Desire on the first verse which also doubles as the chorus ahead of Funbi who asserts his love and suggests that no length is too far to go for her on the second verse leading up to Tay who comes delivers a verse which touches on the distance in their relationship despite the fact that she’s all he longs for.

In what promises to be an interesting year for all three acts with Odunsi gearing up for an LP and Tay having bagged a degree in Audio Engineering, Desire was just the right kind of track to kick off.

In its Falomo directed video, we see colorful and visually pleasing shots of Odunsi at Chinatown in Ketu with the National Temple of The Apostolic Church and the rest of Ketu’s skyline lying in the background. While the video we are presented will serve as a further propeller for the track, the image of Odunsi as a stickler for aesthetics which anyone who follows him has probably subconsciously subscribed to is furthered. Thankfully, Odunsi finds the girl we hear about in what is a solid debut video despite the absence of Tay and Funbi.
