Olamide is all about the Money on new single ‘Oil and Gas’

Save for his label’s joint project, Olamide’s consistent release of run of the mil of singles – save for one or two since 2018 have neither yielded any concrete body of work nor has he indicated that these singles will climax in any project. This instability has raised a number of questions but while his fans are antsy for an album, the constant offering of singles is enough to whet their appetites. In the same vein, Olamide shares Oil and Gas this Friday.

On the Pheelz produced track which finds Olamide namecalling a number of prominent businessmen in Nigeria in a bid to stress the point he tries to make, he goes back to basics with quick drums and a scattered flow that speak to his street side, one that hasn’t enjoyed enough screen time in recent times.

Perhaps Olamide is going somewhere big with these singles or he’s only trying to stay relevant. Whatever the case might be, his fans are grateful for the steady string of releases.
