Kanye warned years back about the importance of listening to the kids. Anyone who ignored that is now being forced to with quality products coming from the kids across many different creative circuits. The latest sign that the kids wield all the power comes from new Creative Product and Content E-Studio, Opaque Spectrum.
At the heart of the brand’s work and what we should really expect from all brands is expressive, slick and functional design which intends on visualizing ideas. Opaque Spectrum is also particular about the importance of collaboration across the creative industry in the bid to create the best possible product available.
Founded by Ademide Adepetun, the model who was also behind The Ascent Society which now appears to be defunct as he continues to evolve, some of the ideals of the Ascent are carried on. One of those in particular is the idea of escaping the rat race and being unconventional. While Ademide credits the inflow of ideas he got as a freshman in college and a desire to actually bring them to life, the end goal of both brands can be argued to be similar. Opaque Spectrum represents the fruit of boundless creativity and The Ascent being a mindset based organization is ultimately what inspires the latter’s creation.
With the launch, the e-studio has released nine denim jackets ranging from $180 to $300. The jackets which are black or blue all feature some element of panelling, detailing and highlighting.
