PDP Candidate in Ekiti Election Challenges Results in Tribunal

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the July 14 governorship election in Ekiti, Kolapo Olusola, has filed a petition at the governorship election tribunal against the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Olusola claimed he polled the highest number of lawful votes in the election instead of Kayode Fayemi of All Progressives Congress.

Fayemi had been declared winner by INEC with 197,459 to defeat Olusola, who polled a total of 178,121 votes.

Olusola insisted thar the governorship reign Governor-elect, Kayode Fayemi, would be short stint given the quality of evidence supporting his claims.

Olusola said, “Those who stole our mandate won’t enjoy the benefits for long”
