Runtown has been on a wave that has brought ashore a slew of continentally recognized hits this year. Seeing how far he has come since his career became pronounced in 2016 with the release of Mad Over You is interesting and in fact questionable based on the myriad of legal issues he’s been involved in with his estranged management; issues that might have tainted his brand but have not taken anything away from his ever evolving artistry.
Fresh off the release of his collaboration with rising frequent collaborator; Nasty C, he returns this week with yet another feminine centric ode to ‘Lucie’ produced Del B titled Oh Oh Oh (Lucie) which finds him casually rolling out high praises for his muse over a cadence of psychedelically flamed barely there 808s, bass grooves and shrill synths that despite their mid tempo nature inspire calm body movements.
Runtown proves with each release that he is growing to master the art of Afro Fusion and this evolution is well appreciated.
