Stars Align For the Screening of New Nollywood Flick ‘Chief Daddy’

Since the success of the Wedding Party franchise, Ebony Life has stumbled on a formula and it’s intent on testing it at every opportunity. What are the components that make up this formula? An ensemble cast. Tick. A movie drop right in time for the holidays. Tick. A funny film built around those ultimately relatable Nigerian stories. Tick. The right balance of Nollywood legends and upstarts. Tick.

The premise of Chief Daddy is simple. Taiwo Obileye plays the wealthy industrialist who passes away suddenly. Upon his sudden death, the cobwebs come out as it turns out that there are more people related to Chief Daddy than we’d been led to believe and they’re going to have to get over their differences. The movie ends up with a feel good theme. Fans will enjoy Falz’s portrayal of Chief Daddy’s affected son who dabbles with Rap to hilarious effect. Watch out for his Big Shaqesque record ‘Who’s Your Dad’ which I’m tipping to be a Christmas hit. Chief Daddy is a laugh out loud funny movie that seeks to find laughter in the midst of war that you should all see.

The red carpet was rolled out on the 15th of November, 2018 for the private screening of Ebony Life Production’s new star studded movie, Chief Daddy. Movie critic, reporters, the movie’s cast and crew were all gathered at the new Filmhouse, Twin Towers, Oniru for a first look at the highly anticipated film.

The film features an array of seasoned actors, comedians and musicians like Kate Henshaw, Funke Akindele, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Patience Ozokwor, Nkem Owoh Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, Bisola Aiyeola, Zainab Balogun, Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah, Shaffy Bello, Lepacious Bose, Ini Edo, Linda Ejiofor, Mawuli Gavor, Ayo Lijadu, Beverly Naya, Uti Nwachukwu, Taiwo Obileye, Rachel Oniga, Beverly Osu, Rahama Sadau, Joke Silva to name a few . Ahead of the premiere on the 2nd of December, online and offline media spaces are already being flooded with trailers and promotional material for the film.
