Ahead of the World Cup, Nigeria’s Super Eagles took on the Three Lions of England in an interesting friendly at Wembley Stadium in London. After a lacklustre first half showing, Nigeria went into the break down two goals following a seventh minute header from eventual man of the match, Gary Cahill and a right footed Kane finish from the edge of the box in the 39th minute.

Out the break came a slightly inspired looking Eagles side with Iwobi pulling one back just after the interval in the 47th minute.

The Eagles will need to put up more performances like their rejuvenated second half if they are to emerge from World Cup Group of Death, Group D ahead of either one or two of Argentina, Croatia or Iceland.
