Using the common fruit, Timi Saurse sparks interest in his debut single.

Tangerine describes the artiste, Timi Saurse being inspired by a female companion and his “Hennessey”. He goes on to explain how beautiful and relaxing his partner is.

The low-tempo instrumental though similar to the most afro beat features a sax which allows it stand out a bit more. Tangerine easily classifies as an upbeat “soulful ballad” as described by Timi’s team.

Smooth and psychedelic, the lyrics have their own interesting origins. Timi actually wrote the lyrics in a strip club while drinking and entertaining the company of a “lady friend”. In a statement provided by his team:

“Tangerine’, his debut single has an unlikely origin. The soulful ballad was written in a strip club as the arties entertained liquor-meditated thoughts of his short-time lady friend.”

Already, the co-producers Timi Saurse and Ozedikus are witnessing seemingly successful attachments as the song is featured on Apple Music’s AfroBeats 2.0 curated playlist.
