Director of Euphonic, Tonero continues to stray from the typical Nigerian sound on his latest effort Missed Calls. On the track which is his third since his 2016 debut project, Ajna, Tonero takes the listener on a journey from his beginnings in music in unconventional manners. Typically, when artists go for these types of stories, they do so in what seems to be somber fashion with slow-tempo tracks however, Tonero’s Missed Calls is as uptempo as it gets. On the record, Tonero is primarily backed by drums and guitars as he touches on loneliness, plying the less frequented route, being stood up and some of the other challenges all too familiar to acts still trying garner the popularity that makes them sought after.
