Fast rising talent Teni continues to push her unique style with the release of the joint single, “Rambo” with her label boss, Dr Dolor. On a soundbed of bubbly, atmospheric synths bolstered by bass drums, Teni is given the leeway to morph into an aroused lover and as Dolor chimes in distorted vocals intercepted by falsetto ad-libs, we’re drawn into the steamy ambience the duo aim to create.
The record is followed with crispy visuals which sees Teni hammering on her desire for ‘Rambo’ in her signature happy-go-lucky mood which she seems to have infected Dr Dolor with on a backdrop of scenic beach views.
Dr Dolor’s choice to push himself sonically rather than sticking to what’s tried and true is not unusual but the enthusiasm we peruse hints at the beginning of an actual career as a singer.
Teni and Dolor come with a wavy synergy on the Jaycinth produced track which samples a bit of a foreign oldie to deliver a song of true quality.
