Best Player:

It’s hard to say but Dimitri Payet looks a real gem. Payet had the most assists in Europe bar Cesc Fabregas and created the most chances for his team mates last season. Going off of last season and preseason performances, I’ll have to say Diafra Sakho.

Weak Links:

I think we really need another striker because we cannot the discount the possibility of a Sakho injury. Also, I don’t feel Matt Jarvis is good enough for us at this level, so a better option on the wings will be welcomed.

Manager:

I believe Slaven Bilic is the right man with the proper philosophy for us at the moment. However, I don’t expect results to come over night, he will need time to make the team truly his.

Expectations:

We are in for a chance in the Europa League this year and I hope we don’t make it. Europe may be a welcome distraction for some sides but we need to concentrate 100% on the Premier League this year. Without the distraction, I expect to have a very solid league season.

Thoughts on Transfer Business:

This has probably been the club’s best ever window. The players that have been brought in are top class and there hasn’t been any overly significant loss to the side. Getting Payet from Marseille and Ogbonna from Juventus are two real coups. Nene will bring some spark to the side and Pedro Obiang is a reliable midfielder.

Player Likely to Break through:

Reece Oxford! He’s the next big thing in England. The 16-year-old centre back made his debut in the Europa League this July making him the club’s youngest player. Also watch out for Elliott Lee.
