‘YEEZUS’ FOLLOW UP ANNOUNCED

It’s not an April Fools’ prank. Expect a Kanye West album pretty soon. Mr West has postponed the Australian leg of his Yeezus tour in order to complete work on what would be his 7th solo studio album. The news had initially come from Concert promoters, Live Nation and has now been confirmed by his DJ and protégé, Mano via Twitter. This would be a follow up to the polarizing ‘Yeezus’ released in June last year. He also suggests that sonically, it would be vastly different from ‘Yeezus’.  Whilst details are still sketchy, previous announcements suggested the project would be helmed by Rick Rubin and Q Tip. West has already announced on his website that there’s a Yeezus film in the works, directed by Hype Williams.

This is the latest piece to the jigsaw of West’s 2014. He’s expected to tie the knot with Kim Kardashian.  The first instalment of his collection with Adidas is also due in the summer.
