Platinum-selling UK talent Aluna has teamed up with Prettyboy D-O and Kooldrink to deliver a brand new single titled NowhereTo Hide.
The song combines elements of Afrobeats and amapiano courtesy of South African DJ, sound engineer and record producer, Kooldrink (who at just 20 years old, has already worked on projects with Sho Madjozi, DJ Maphorisa, Diplo, and many more). Coupled with Aluna’s impressive vocals, Nowhere To Hide is a smooth, poignant track with romance at its heart.
Blending his unorthodox creativity with lively rhythms and active vocals, Prettyboy D-O shows up on the track with his usual bold and expressive flair. The song is the latest offering in a long line of Afrobeats-adjacent collaborations for Aluna, who in the last few years has linked up with the likes of Tekno, Guilty Beatz (executive producer for Tems), and Rema, as well as co-curating Dance Red Saves, Lives with Don Jazzy and Mavin Records.
Nowhere To Hide sees Aluna continue with her fruitful run of cross-continental musical collaborations as she ventures further into eclectic dance-pop territory. In her own words: “what’s beautiful about this song is that it brings together four people from across the world that are pushing boundaries, and pays homage to the Amapiano sound.”
