Bella Shmurda Elicits Hope and Good Living In New Single, “Ara (Gen Gen Tin)”

Nigerian singer and street hop superstar, Bella Shmurda has released a new single, Ara (Gen Gen Tin).

The single, which is the singer’s treatise on how he has braced the odds and how hopeful he is about his future prospects, is produced by Larry Lanes. The track is coming after the singer’s successful run with his last album, Hypertension. Ara (Gen Gen Tin) is currently the number one record on Shazam Nigeria, and the number one song on the Apple Music’s Top 25: Lagos playlist 

“Lola sati rah ma jago rahmoni, ma dabira/Ma lowo lowo, ma dabira/Ma shakiti bobo, ma fatia lola satia/Ara mon da ni (Gen gen tin)/Make I no dey beg for food (Gen gen tin)/Make my motor pim pim pim (Gen gen tin)/Anything I buy I buy for two (Gen gen tin),” the lyrics read.

Born Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, Bella Shmurda rose to prominence with the release of the song Vision 2020, and a follow-up remix which featured Nigeria rapper, Olamide. In 2021, Bella Shmurda was nominated for the “Next Rated” award at the Headies Awards, and in June 2021, his single, Cash App featuring Zlatan and Lincoln was nominated for “Most Played Song – Street Pop” at the NET Honours.
