The Boko Haram sect continued its blood spilling on Wednesday, killing at least 9 people and burning down buildings in Adamawa State.

While the President was addressing the nation, heralding the centennial anniversary of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorates, the terrorist group went on a killing spree in the Madagali Local Government area of Adamawa State.

The Adamawa attack came about two days after a deadly attack that left about 59 students dead in Yobe State.

The communities that came under attack in Adamawa State are Kirchinga district, Michika, Shuwari and Shuwa.

Witnesses disclosed that the terrorists accessed Kirchinga district through the Sambisa forest killing several settlers in Shuwari and Shuwa communities.   Shops, residences and banks including First Bank  in Michika town were attacked. Three catholic churches as well as a primary school in Shuwari town were also burnt by the insurgents.

The Saint Joseph Minor Seminary, Shuwa was also set ablaze while the maternity health centre in Shuwa suffered the same fate after they had carted away the medical equipment.
