With the Zanku dance and it’s references still trending in relevant spaces, artists are making good use of the publicity it generates by jumping on the signature sound related to the dance that has now become a cultural reference.
Mr Eazi and Legendury Beatz were the first to dub and appropriate the ‘Zanku Riddim’ now DJ Xclusive hops on the train.
On the self-produced track which comes with a TG Omori directed video, DJ Xclusive mashes up the quick drums associated with Zanku and the dense keys from DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s Turn Down For What.
Though DJ Xclusive is conspicuously missing from most scenes in the video, the street Dancers keep us entertained with energetic dance steps and an outro that finds him name-calling the who is who in our entertainment industry.
