A self-proclaimed hopeless romantic and a boundary-defying artist, Tomi Thomas continues to transcend boundaries that exist in the industry with his constant redefinition of music delivery. After releasing the Hopeless Romantic EP earlier in June, this year followed by the video for Hurricane, a fan favorite on the project, Thomas carries on with his attempt to lead the modern African music scene with a genuine passion and appreciation for the arts by sharing another take on the six-track EP titled Hopeless Romantic Riddim.
Tomi Thomas’ music has a heartbeat, and the Hopeless Romantic Riddim EP showcases yet another aspect of his repertoire. The seven-track Riddim compilation is an explosive instrumentally driven accompaniment to the songs. Combined with his career as a visual artist, which inspired his creation of the project’s meaningful cover art that expresses the project’s true nature as poetry in motion, its added sound twists, including a dancehall remake of Hopeless Romantic featuring Jamaican recording artist Stylo G, along with experimental Afro-R&B artist boistory on Come My Way, Thomas makes his discography even more sound expansive.
