SYEMCA Makes A Comeback With Emotive Single, “WWGD”

The Nigerian music scene continues to expand its constellation of stars. SYEMCA, a talented singer-songwriter, is joining this esteemed cohort with his latest single, WWGD [What We Gone Do]. Produced by Veecii and DeeYasso, this evocative track digs into themes of love, emotions, and self-discovery. SYEMCA’s soulful vocals intertwine seamlessly with lush instrumentals, crafting a contemporary yet timeless sound.

WWGD marks SYEMCA’s return to music after a hiatus, following his 2022 EP, Crave, which had the standout track Oha, with a visual directed by Unlimited LA and premiered on MTV. His debut single, All The Way, also featured on this EP. This release sees a reunion of SYEMCA and  Veecii, following their collaboration on last year’s joint single, Black Energy.

SYEMCA  “wanted ‘What We Gon Do’ to capture intimate moments and personal experiences. It’s a song that holds special meaning for me, and I’m thrilled to finally share it with the world.”

Chukwuemeka Chike-Ezekpeazu, professionally known as SYEMCA, holds a degree in Theatre Arts from Redeemer’s  University. He initially gained recognition performing his original songs on stage and achieved further acclaim as the runner-up in The Voice Nigeria 2017. His musical journey draws from influences ranging from highlife and afrobeat to pop, inspired by icons such as Oliver de Coque, Fela Kuti, and Michael Jackson.

For WWGD, SYEMCA is set to embark on a promotional tour, promising electrifying performances across various Nigerian cities. Fans can anticipate captivating shows that showcase SYEMCA’s stage presence and versatile musical prowess.
