The past year has gone by like a forcible breeze for US based Nigerian rapper Wale who has gone from commanding the airwaves with more than three award worthy projects to humbly bowing out of the game with one final project, his sixth studio album, Wow … That’s Crazy all in the span of a year. Months ago he morosely shared the news of his retirement which he charged to his decision to focus more on family, but not without going out with a bang. Over the course of the months following this announcement, Wale has been on a music release spree characterized by a monthly dispensation of music including freestyles and several singles from the album, the last of which, Love and Loyalty, assisted by Maryland based Nigerian artist, Mannywellz was released in September.

The 11-track star studded album rife with features from Hollywood’s finest including Bryson Tiller, Ari Lennox and Jeremih among others is a discourse on regular but pressing and relatable subjects including romance, racism and rancor spinned skillfully and pleasantly by the prominent Rapper to yield an impressive curtain call to more than a decade of Hip hop excellence and royalty.

Accomapnied by the retro video for fan-favourite, BGM, Wow … That’s Crazy also offers an aged but evolved interpretation of Wale’s distinct sound, signature flow and profound lyricism that inspired his journey to the top.
