It is often said that the best way to tell a visual story is to capture the subject(s) and fuse with the visual themes, creating an environment in which the viewer can share the desire(s) of the artiste and the intent for the project can be sold.

For veteran artiste; 9ice who now goes by the name ‘Ancestor’ in the visuals for his latest single Mercy; a prayerful monologue which finds pleading to God for compassion, the realization of the introspection he performs in the track is key and so with directorial help from Clarence Peters, he goes down memory lane, tracking the highs and lows of his career in various befitting scenes depicting his rise to stardom interspersed with flitting scenes from the visuals of Gongo Aso, his breakout single and a trail of others which see him voicing his requests to God.

The dramatic visuals comes weeks after the release of the actual song and like every other Clarence Peters effort, it is standard with visible indigenous twists matching the traditional instruments that make up the soundscape of the track most likely suggested by 9ice.
