We believe in the power of storytelling to amplify diverse voices and bring to light the rich cultural experiences that shape our world. Through exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes access, and compelling narratives, we aim to connect audiences with the vibrant heritage of the Afro-centric community. Our mission is to inspire, inform, and foster a deeper understanding of the cultural forces that continue to shape the present and future.

Who We Are

We are the Northstar for Afro-identity

Our newsroom consists of African creators driven by a desire to see the growth of independent African media platforms for the benefit of curious audiences. Culture Custodian was established in 2014 by our three founders, Mayowa Idowu, Tito Amuchienwa and Aedan Asika but continues to exist through the work of every team member who has been a part of building the company over the years.
