Bella Alubo Is Preaching Against Geminis on ‘Don’t Trust Geminis’

Last year, Bella Alubo stole the show when she delivered her lush and audacious sophomore project Summer’s Over to the delight of her fans. Racked with an abundance of hits, it’s been impossible to select favorites off the 10-track project and with it losing its elasticity, its only right Bella brings it back to the fore. As she marks its 4th month anniversary this month, she brings it back along with a choice for a favorite pick in form of the lyrical film for the Ezi Emela Don’t Trust Geminis.

Directed by Folami Ayedun and edited by Bash Em, the silky romance cut tracks Bella’s movements, found footage style from a studio where she begins to belt out her narrative to the streets where we begin to notice the impact of the chaotic relationship she mesmerically sings about. With Ezi Emela conspicuously missing, Bella takes on the role of her exponent and plays it perfectly.

Not only is the lyrical video, inventive as it ties with the theme of progressiveness of today’s industry, it’s also a testament of Bella’s many skills, top of which is acting.
