Much to our displeasure few years after he took the industry by storm with his alternative sound, Black Magic took some time off, a hiatus that left a void in the industry. Last year, he began to make his way back and though this has only resulted in a handful of singles, the anticipation of what’s coming grows with each release such as the recently released, Anything For Love for which he shares a video.
The video is much more than what it seems on the surface. It’s a visual depiction of where he feels love originates, what it can be given the chance to evolve into and the fact that art and love are in a tandem that should exist as one in the world. The video opens up with a little note passing across this message and stating that it’s a visual campaign before it spreads out to the crevices of Nigeria, capturing the quintessential nature of the emotion existing in its truest form.
Black Magic is on brand in the charming video for Anything For Love and it’s no wonder that even after years away from the industry, every release is as impressive as his breakout hit, Repete.
