Black Panther‘s Wiston Duke popularly known for his role as M’baku shared some of his favourite songs at the moment via a Spotify playlist – Black Boy Joy and of course, it does include some songs by Nigerian artistes.
The actor caught our attention following his brilliant performance at Marvel’s award-winning Black Panther. His character, M’baku resonated among Nigerians as it had Duke, a Tobagonian, speak almost proficiently in Igbo accent, the language of South Easterners from Nigeria.
Ahead of his latest movie, US with Lupita Nyong’o and a press liaison with Spotify, the actor shared a playlist that contains some of his favourite songs.
According to Duke, some of the songs are “played for conscious, global and central which reminds him that he’s never one thing at any given moment”.
The playlist features songs from Wizkid, Burna Boy, Niniola, Tekno etc accompanied with a couple others like J Cole’s Middle Child, Roffee’s Toast and more.
So here are some of the songs by Nigerian artistes presently tickling Duke‘s fancy.
