Chimzy’s Debut EP, ‘True Self’ Is Coming Sooner Than You Think

Debut projects are a big deal. On one hand they’re proof of readiness to share the work in some element of a cohesive form. In the same vein, they’re proof that one is ready to be vulnerable with their art and audience. DC based afropop act, Chimzy’s debut EP titled ‘True Self’ has all the callings of a project of someone who’s coming to terms with who he is and willing to share that with everyone.

The six track EP shall feature Tit G, IAMDELE and Joey B and track titles like Ode 2 D Streets and 2 Lives suggest Chimzy shall be letting us in as he delves into deeper topics about who he is in opposition to centring around love as his discography has previously.

Out on the 18th of May, for now, enjoy the tape’s only single, The Vibe, while we wait for the remaining chapters of the True Self story.
