Shortly after the untimely death of Oladapo “DaGrin” Olaonipekun, Olamide A.K.A Baddo made his breakthrough into the limelight making music in his native language, with the path already paved by DaGrin.

Olamide released his debut album Rapsodi in 2011 under the record label Coded TunesEni Duro, his hit single was on this debut album and was played on various radio stations all over Lagos. Little did we know he was a superstar in the making.

In 2011, Olamide collaborated with the “superstar” himself, Wizkid. The Omo To Shan video  featured popular Nigerian female comedian, Princess and was directed by DJ TEE.

First of All (Introduction!) was released on Olamide’s follow-up album YBNL in 2012. The album was also supported by other hit singles Voice of the Street and Stupid Love. The First of All video shows a very brief overview of how Olamide connects well with the streets.

Now under his own record label named YBNL, Baddo has released two albums and has signed new artistes such as the current “New Kid on the Block”, Lil Kesh A.K.A Baba Shoki. In the past month, Olamide has released two hit singles Bobo and Melo Melo. Check them out!
