Watch The Dear White People Cast Try To Guess Words in South African Languages

Posted on

With the growth of television and the media world, we have seen more niche programming than the yesteryears. Instead of focussing on the least objectionable content, media organisations are now targeting niche markets with their content. That explains the birth of Netflix series, Dear White People. After a welcoming first season, the second volume of the show went live on the 4th of May.

As a follow up to the release of the second volume, Logan Browning, Marque Richardson and Antoinette Robertson and other cast members play a game where they must pronounce a word from a South African language and give some context while a partner must figure out what the word means.

The dominant language the words are from is Zulu, however, there is some Afrikaans as well, like the word gatvol.
