In what serves as a follow up to his Hip-hop/Dancehall and Afrobeat hybrid, Blood and Fire for which he resurrected Jesse Jagz and M.I’s onscreen bromance, DJ Neptune teams up with man of the moment, Davido for his second official single of the year, Demo. Though he sits out on vocal delivery, Neptune supports Davido’s colorful verses with engaging ad-libs that are as timely as Speroach’s frenetic synths and quick drums.
In the accompanying lyric video, Davido and DJ Neptune are comic book heroes, roles that are not so far-fetched as in their distinct domains, they are renowned for their musical dexterity. While Davido already has an established path in the music industry, Neptune is just now breaking in and we can’t wait to see where this diversion takes him.
