Boiler Room and The Guardian join hands on a series titled Gateways that looks to tell the story of Nigerian music in part. As such, they catch up with Don Jazzy, DJ Jimmy Jatt and Dr Sid.
They speak on their beginnings in music and the initial hustling to make a name. Don Jazzy speaks on setting up Mo Hits back in the day and recording their debut album and in general the growth of the movement.
The trio also speak on the afrobeat genre and the problems with generalising our music into one category.
Check it out.
