With Production tentacles spread across the continent, celebrated Producer, Krizbeatz has never let himself be constrained by culture. His allegiance lies in a unification of every country he’s worked in and while he’s previously expressed this in variations of singles and full bodies of work, the schtick hasn’t gotten old. He falls back on this method this month with a full-length project that encompasses his love for unity. The upcoming album titled African Time is a get-together of African music heavyweights as it taps influences from several places on the continent to paint a mosaic of the African experience in its totality. The project features award-winning East African singer, Diamond Platnumz, as well as Vanessa Mdee, Nandi and Ray Vanny. Nigeria’s Reekado Banks, Teni, Tekno, Yemi Alade, and Ghana’s Samini and Fuse ODG are also making an appearance on the album. The album is scheduled to arrive on July 17, but to lead the release, Krizbeatz offers the eponymous lead single featuring Teni.

Accompanied by a compelling introductory video that found him relishing in his African consciousness, African Time is a relatable melodic ode to Teni’s life as an African superstar driven by her desire for unity expressed over a bouncy instrumental with matching cadence. Not only does she express this desire for harmony but a homage to some of Africa’s greatest delivered on the second verse sharpens Teni’s resolve and makes a very compelling narrative in favor of her intent.
